PAINTINGS

Some furry friends...

Just a few examples of my work.

Roxy and Oscar

Two old friends
This was a commission for a Christmas gift from mother to son. Oscar, the border collie is a gentle and loveable soul and has been Roxy, the Cavadoodle's, bestie for many years.

The customer supplied me with a low res image borrowed from her son's Facebook page and I moved the two dogs to sit closer together.

Juno

A beautiful burmese
This striking young man was a challenge because his fur is a combination of silk and velvet. I wanted to capture the shine and the sumptuous colouring alongside his beautiful wide eyes.

Juno was interested in his portrait, Juno's Mum and Dad were as pleased as punch.

Salem

Our Fundraising winner!
This guy likes to drape himself over furniture and his cat pole. I was a bit worried at first that I wouldn't be able to paint him in his strange pose but his human was tickled pink with this painting. He's a handsome boy!

The Fundraiser raised over $400 for Ingrid's Cat Haven!

Mouser

Cat emerging from a barn
The photograph that inspired this painting was a picture I saw on Instagram. If you recognise the cat and were the original photographer please get in touch!

The photographer had shot the cat emerging from the darkness and I painted it as an experiment. I loved him so much this is on my own wall.

I love that he has no real edge as he's hidden in the shadows.

Lulu and Leo

Two Happy Cats!
These girls sent me two pictures of their cats and I combined it into a composite image. As you can see Lulu and Low were a bit shy to show their full appreciation!

Rosie

Spot the dog!
So I don't always paint cats, dogs get a look in sometimes too! As well as the occasional bird.

This beautiful creature and her unique spots were captured in paint and delivered to her owner who was very happy with the result.

Chiquita

One quiet girl
Chiquita's human sent me this picture to be painted as a surprise for her daughter who loves this cat more than anything!

The recipient was ecstatic with joy when she saw her fur-baby in paint.

Aida

A stunning Burmese beauty
Aida found her owners and made them hers. They sent me a couple of pictures of Aida. Initially I couldn't quite nail her likeness and this is the moment that I realised I needed to know a bit about an animal's personality to be able to pain them.

Aida's humans told me some stories about her and they were very happy with the result.

Cino and Clover

Two of my favourite doggy friends
This was painted as a surprise for these gorgeous puppies humans - and they were so happy with the results.

Cino and Clover are two of my favourite doggies!

Simon

The most beautiful cat in the World!
This is my baby and a fellow team member - I just love this cat even though he is a bit mentally challenged. This one was definitely painted with love.

Mukka

Boss cat
Mukka (a Furry Friend Forever team member) is a bit of a thug, he believes he is the boss. He doesn't know he's an old man!

Two cheeky rainbows

Rainbow lorikeets in our lemon tree
We get lots of rainbow lorikeets in our garden and these cheeky chappies always make me smile. They are the bullies of the bird World though - loud and aggressive, but bold with it. These birds love our citrus trees and in the summer we cut the fruit in half and hang it on a nail for them.

I painted these for my father when he was very ill. Hopefully they made him smile during his final days.
