And we have a winner!

During a fairly low point in my life I discovered the Facebook group, Ingrid's Cat Haven - Cat Community Page. I am a cat lover, that's no secret to anyone, but this group is the kindest, most caring community of people ever (and bonus it's full of cats!). I don't even live in Victoria and they welcomed me in. Anyway the FB group is really for people who have adopted a cat from Ingrid and reading the stories of how this amazing woman somehow magically perfectly pairs cats and people is extraordinary.

So anyway I wanted to help her and the kitty cats she saves from otherwise certain death. I could make a small cash donation but then I thought, why don't I raise money using my painting skills! So I have decided to run a fundraiser.

Raised over $400 in May 2021

Meet Salem - one of three siblings that his owner's daughter brought her from the pound, for her 50th birthday. He is the only boy, and has always been skittish. He startles very quickly, even when he should know that someone is next to him. His owner always thought he maybe had some brain damage, but he is loving and needy, and a very pretty boy. He often just hangs like the photo, he just drapes himself over the armrest of the lounge, the corner of the table, or on the scratching pole. His name is Salem, but he also gets 'The Boy', and of course:BatCat. He is very handsome!

Salem was our winner of this competition - he loves to chill on his cat post. I was a bit worried that I wouldn't be able to capture his strange pose, but his human is very happy!!

Ingrid will choose a picture at random On 01/06/2021 and the winner will receive an acrylic painting of your cat ready to be framed by the 1st August 2021.

All donations go direct to the Haven's Stripe account - I am not taking any payment for this work and any expenses incurred will be covered by myself.
